Post Election Message
I am glad that our monthly general membership meeting is happening today so that we have an opportunity to process in community. I imagine we are all feeling some pretty difficult emotions right now. Shock, devastation, grief, disappointment, anger, numbness, etc.. In times like these, it is important to take the time to feel all the emotions, and give in to the exhaustion before resuming the fight. It is ok to take a break.
It is precisely for times like these that this community was created, to be an oasis in a world of violence. This moment is a reminder of the power we have when we come together—supporting one another, lifting each other up, and continuing our work to make a meaningful difference. We may not control every outcome, but we can continue to foster equity, belonging, and justice in our own spheres of influence.
Despite the outcome of this election, and the challenges it will bring, our mission remains unchanged: to nurture the field of changemakers transforming the environmental movement through equity and inclusion, and to build a just, inclusive, and joyous environmental movement that centers people and protects our living earth. We are committed to doing this work and supporting each of you in doing your work to advance equity, justice, and inclusion in the years to come.
Here are some ways that this community may be of support to you:

In solidarity,
Clara
